*Please note that drop-in hours for Wednesday, April 13 have been canceled. Drop-in hours will resume next Monday, April 18, 10am –noon. If you absolutely need your resume reviewed before next Monday, please drop off a copy at RTH 218 and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Workshop Presenters: " Professional Adventure: Your Job Search" ***Michael R. Andrews (IEEE National Speaker) Six phases of securing employment upon graduation are explored: preparation, search, contact, interview, selection, and growth. The presentation begins with academic performance in school, progresses through research and selection of companies, discusses successful interviewing, and concludes with company selection and personal growth. Michael R. Andrews is President of Andrews & Associates, LLC. An IEEE National Speaker, former Vice-President Managing Partner of Advanced Interaction Management and General Manager of Training and Development for Nissan. In addition, he was the Dean of Accounting and Computer Information Systems at DeVry University in Phoenix. He is a senior member of IEEE as well as a member of the IEEE Computer Society, Engineering Management Society, Industry Applications Society and the Vehicular Technology Society.

"Networking Basics: Tapping Into the Hidden Job Market" ***Tisha Armatys, Assistant Director, Viterbi Career Services Networking should be an integral part of your job search. In this workshop, students will learn the basics of how to network, in addition to learning about networking opportunities and benefits. Then try out these techniques at our Networking Luncheon!

Tisha Armatys is the Assistant Director & Co-op Coordinator of the USC Viterbi School of Engineering Career Services office, located in RTH 218. In addition to working with students daily to develop their interview skills and hone their resumes, she also helps engineering students search for, interview for, and find full-time employment and internships. She, as a part of Viterbi Career Services, is integral to a student's career growth, and has been a driving support for the IEEE S-PAC event.

MICROSOFT 2005 BOARD OF THE FUTURE Microsoft is currently recruiting candidates for the 2005 Board of the Future. Please see below for more details on the program and a link to the application.

Program Details: The Microsoft Office Information Worker Board of the Future is an effort by Microsoft to gauge the technology needs of the next generation of information workers. Composed of university students from around the globe, this year’s representatives will convene in Budapest, Hungary, for 3 days of workshops, brainstorming sessions and presentations.

Working together, students will attempt to address questions such as: · What are the expectations for future generations entering the workforce? · What should we be teaching students to prepare them for information work? · What will work and work environments look like in the future? · Most importantly, what should technology companies be thinking about today to prepare for the impact this influential group will have as it matures?

Qualifications: Applicants between18-24 years of age from all educational and cultural backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
