FALL SESSION – “HURRAY FOR CLAY”- All new ceramic projects allow students to use hand building techniques and various clay decorating techniques to create imaginative ceramic works of art to enjoy for years to come! We will have a “MINI” Art Show the last day of class. MONDAY DATES: 8/25, 9/8, 9/29, 10/6, 10/13, 10/20*, 10/27, 11/10. WEDNESDAY DATES (K, 1st & 2nd ONLY): 9/3, 9/10, 9/24, 10/1, 10/8, 10/15, 10/22*, 10/29. FRIDAY DATES: 8/29, 9/5, 9/26, 10/3, 10/10, 10/17, 10/24*, 11/7. WINTER SESSION – “IMAGINARY CREATURES” – Enter the world of myths, monsters, aliens and imaginary creatures like unicorns, mermaids, and dragons. Using a variety of media and techniques, students will use their imagination and skill to create paintings, drawings and sculptures! We will have a “MINI” Art Show on the last art class. MONDAY DATES: 11/17, 12/8, 12/15, 1/12, 1/26, 2/2, 2/9, 2/16. FRIDAY DATES: 12/5, 12/12, 1/9, 1/16, 1/23, 1/30, 2/6, 2/13. SPRING SESSION – “DINAMITE DINOSAURS”- Discover the fascinating world of dinosaurs! Using a variety of media and techniques, students will create clay dinosaurs, paint dinosaur landscapes, print dinosaurs, create fake “fossils” and much more! If you love art and dinosaurs, you’ll love this class! We will have a “MINI” Art Show on the last art class. MONDAY DATES: 3/2, 3/9, 3/16, 3/23, 3/30, 4/20, 4/27, 5/4. FRIDAY DATES: 2/27, 3/6, 3/13, 3/20, 3/27, 4/17, 4/24, 5/1. CLASS TIMES/LOCATION: K, 1ST & 2nd at 2:30 – 3:45 pm in art room (212); 3rd, 4th & 5th at 4:00 – 5:15 pm in art room (212).
