JOSEPH JUSTIN CONTIGUGLIA, M.D.

Dr. Joseph Justin Contiguglia is a Clinical Professor of Public Health for Tulane University’s School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. He is a clinical professor of Aerospace Medicine for Pikeville College School of Medicine; a clinical associate professor of Community Medicine and Rural Health for the University of North Dakota; and a clinical associate professor of Preventive Medicine and Community Health for Texas Tech University.

Dr. Contiguglia is a Fellow of the American College of Preventive Medicine, the Aerospace Medical Association, and The Royal Society of Medicine; and a Diplomate of the American College of Physician Executives. He is vice president of the Delta Omega Honor Society, Eta Chapter. He is a member of the American College of Physicians; the Royal Aeronautical Society (London); and the Australian Society of Aerospace Medicine.

Dr. Contiguglia served on active duty in the U.S. Air Force from 1978–2007.

Dr. Contiguglia holds a B.A. from Columbia College in New York; a Doctor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Sienna, Italy; a Master of Public Health and Tropical Medicine from Tulane University; and an M.B.A. from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Cabrini Medical Center, New York University, and a residency in Aerospace Medicine at the U.S. Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine. He is board certified by the Board of Preventive Medicine; the American Board of Medical Management; and the Certifying Commission in Medical Management.
