 Set Schedule for 2018 Quarterly Meat Packer meetings with Topics and location and other possible events or areas of focus. – It was discussed that each quarterly meeting should always include at minimum the following: 1) Update/What’s New from the Omaha OSHA office, 2) Time for Best Practice sharing from someone in the group 3) Hot Topic – Will be decided at the current meeting for the next meeting so it

remains current and relevant to what is going on in the industry

Group discussed a lot of options for topics including the need for the topics to be higher level topics for the Meat Packers group. Training such as the Georgia Tech training was too basic for this audience. Need to focus on Leading Safety, Building and Enforcing programs, communication skills up and down in the organization, train the trainer type topics.

Other Learning Series events should be considered for front line supervisory levels within the packers organizations – For these kind of events subcommittees should be formed to lead the event. What these events should be and who the subcommittees should be will be determined at the next Executive Steering Committee Meeting
