Events: All Events. No double entries. No more than SIX entries per event.
Cost: $18.00 per competitor including host fee PLUS an additional $8.00 host fee for each additional judge and/or observer. Checks should be made out to FGCCFL for the full amount.
Food: Closed campus (FGCCFL rule). Please remember to order lunches for all competitors, judges, coaches and observers. ONE complimentary lunch will be provided to each school for the head coach. Please email your lunch order to Bill Butcher at [email protected] Lunch will be prepared and served by our Culinary Academy. It will consist of Shepherd’s Pie (both vegetarian and regular), salad, bread, dessert, and drinks. Please send the number of participants along with whether they receive vegetarian or regular meals by Friday, November 4th. (No vegan lunches will be prepared.)
Judging requirements: One (1) judge for every four IE entries. One (1) judge for every four Congress entries. One (1) judge for every two LD entries. One (1) judge for every two PFD team entries. One (1) judge for each TD team entry. COACHES: Do not count yourself in your judge quota as we must be able to use you where needed!
REGISTRATION FOR THE TOURNAMENT:
Go to the FGCCFL web site. Click on Online Registration. Download the registration form. Fill it in completely. Save it. Email it to Bill Gibron at [email protected], Jennifer Bell at [email protected], and Terri St John at [email protected] no later than 9 PM on MONDAY the 7th. Registration must be submitted by the school’s coach only. The registration deadline is 8:00 am. Please be certain you send all required information including student names in correct events, and judge names in pools of IE, Congress, LD, PFD, or TD. Your number of judges in each pool must match the student entries. Please note: “The Executive Committee may levy additional tournament fees of $25.00 for late registration, any changes made on the tournament morning, a dropped entry on the tournament day, a dropped entry not declared before the start of the first round, or a failure of a judge to report for a scheduled round.”
Tournament Day Registration: 7:30 – 8:00 in at the school Media Center. Only the team coach or designee should process through the registration line. Students should report to the cafeteria. Judges should report to the media center.
CONGRESS RULES: All legislation must be submitted by coaches only to Josh Schneider as a Microsoft Word attachment (.doc or .docx) by the MONDAY prior to the tournament week. He will return rejected legislation to the coach and it may be resubmitted by the THURSDAY of that same week. Once approved, the packet will be made available on the FRIDAY before the tournament week, giving students a week to research. Legislation must be written using the templates on the FGCCFL website and should include the author’s name and school. Legislation not submitted by the MONDAY deadline will not be considered. Every school entering Student Congress must supply one (1) piece of Legislation per every two (2) participants in Student Congress. Email these items to Josh Schneider at [email protected].
DIRECTIONS: Directions from I-75: Take I-275 to west bound 54th Ave. North. Travel west for nearly 4 miles to 62nd street (there is a light) and turn left. Turn right into the parking lot BEFORE the marquee. Our ushers will guide you from there.
