A Short-Sleeved Open Necked Uniform Blouse of the Appropriate Year Group

SCHOOL UNIFORM

ALL students are expected to wear the correct uniform and for it to be kept neat and clean. The items are part of your daughter's school equipment and should be clearly labelled with her name. All items are available at the National Schoolwear Centre.

Main Uniform:  Mid-black, knife-pleated, knee length skirt or black straight leg trousers (trutex style JWT 446). Not skinny fit.  A short-sleeved open necked uniform blouse of the appropriate year group.  Black blazer and badge: compulsory for all students  White or black socks or black tights (trainer socks may not be worn)  Plain flat black shoes (not trainers, canvas, pumps, open-toed, boots or backless styles)

Optional:  Plain black cardigan or V neck jumper

All outdoor garments, coats, jackets, scarves, hats and gloves should not be worn indoors after arrival at school, and should be kept in bags or lockers.

PE Uniform:  Royal blue polo shirt with school crest and embroidered with student name  Black shadow shorts (no logos), leggings or Black school tracksuit bottoms  Spare socks (as above in main unform)  A pair of training shoes, suitable for Physical Education

Optional:  Black school tracksuit  Black school hoodie

Students’ own equipment is encouraged for use during P.E. but must be named clearly and looked after by the student. The naming of ALL P.E. kit is of utmost importance, all kit should be marked with a name label inside, and the shirt, shorts (and tracksuit if used) named in contrasting colour on the front of the garment, using either embroidery or permanent pen.

Jewellery – students may only wear a watch, one faith or charity band and a House band. A small plain stud in the lower lobe of each ear (less than 5 mm in diameter). No other piercings are allowed.

Make-up is not allowed in Year 7 to 11: this includes nail varnish and acrylic nails. Hair should be kept neat and tody (long hair tied back) and of one reasonable length / style and should not be dyed in unnatural colours or patterns, or decorated. No hair should be shorter than a grade 2 cut. Hair bands, clips, etc. must be plain.

NO jewellery is to be worn for P.E. All valuables are to be kept in the student’s locker and are the student’s responsibility.
