J.T. Wilcox (Prefers Republican Party)
Elected Experience: JT has served two terms as our State Representative. He now serves as Minority Floor Leader for the Republican Caucus.
Other Professional Experience: JT has managed a variety of business enterprises during his 23 years with his family business, Wilcox Farms, including Chief Financial Officer.
Education: Graduated from Yelm High School; BA in History from Washington State University
Community Service: Member, Yelm Methodist Church; Former President, Yelm Lions Club; Former volunteer fireman; He was awarded an Honorary Chapter Farmer degree by the Yelm FFA and has also served on many school district committees.
Statement: JT Wilcox has quickly become one of our state’s most effective legislators, working to balance the state budget and restore jobs to our local economy. He knows firsthand the harm of thoughtless overregulation. Last session, JT worked to promote bills that were environmentally and fiscally responsible, that also respected property rights.
The Wilcox family has farmed along the banks of the Nisqually River for over 100 years. JT learned many valuable lessons from working on the farm, including how to deal with difficult times and the need to balance a budget. Washington needs family farm values.

Statement: I believe limited taxation, private property, and local government are essential to economic freedom and recovery. I believe in ending corporate sponsorship in politics. I believe we have a natural right to live free, without the threat of force or dependence on an overly intrusive government. If you want effective solutions from Olympia, it’s time to stop sending politicians to office and start sending problem solvers. Your vote is a referendum on ‘business as usual’. Let’s end the political bickering. Let’s fix our restrictive laws. Let’s do what’s right for a freer more prosperous Washington. Because Freedom Matters.
