Manteca Men’s Golf Club April 2, 2017 Tournament 2-MAN BEST BALL FOUR-BALL NET CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFIER TOURNAMENT (FORMAT: 2 Player Best Ball)

******New club rule starting January 1, 2016, your handicap for golf tournaments will be the lower of the following: your current index, or your second lowest tournament score that shows in the GHIN system. If you don’t know how to find this information please ask.******

2 PLAYER BEST BALL RULES:  ALL FLIGHTS, Men play from the Combo tees, Women play from the Red tees  Each player plays each hole with their own ball  At least one player must hole out on every hole  If you pick up on a hole you should mark the hole with an X and put your estimated score next to it.  Lowest score (holed out) of the two players using full handicap will count on the hole  The top 25% win prize money on the books  Scorecard will decide last money winner if needed  There cannot be more than 8 strokes difference between team members. If more than 8 strokes the higher handicap player will be reduced to meet this requirement.  Players receive 100% of their handicap (as long as they are within the 8 stoke limit)

 SECOND BALL RULING: If you are unsure about a ruling follow RULE 3-3 (if you are not sure what RULE 3-3 is, feel free to ask or look it up on the internet). Then BEFORE SIGNING YOUR CARD GET A RULING IN THE PRO SHOP. Then after the ruling correct the scoring as needed and sign your card.

 PACE OF PLAY POLICY: scorecards need to be turned into the pro shop 4.5 hours after your tee time or no more than 20 minutes after the group in front of you. Turning your scorecard in later than 4.5 hours and 21 minutes after the group in front of you and you will be assessed a 2 stroke penalty. The responsibility for maintaining an expected pace of play is with the players, not the tournament officials. If you are falling behind PLAY READY GOLF AND CATCH UP TO THE GROUP IN FRONT OF YOU

 No Low gross prize

 Don’t post your score. The Handicap Chairman will post the scores for the players.

ADDITIONAL CLUB and NCGA RULES FOR THE QUALIFIERS  Based on club membership 2 teams will be sent. If there are 2 flights there will be 1 team taken from each flight  Players must meet the 3-3 CLUB RULE requirements for eligibility  Maximum handicap is 18.4  Play/Scoring is at 90% for men and 95% for women  Any ties will be broken by a 3 hole playoff between the tied teams and will continue until there is a winner within a 3 hole playoff. Same handicap as set for the qualifier (18.4 index maximum)
