At your request and on your behalf, UTi recently completed a Customs entry providing for TEMPORARY importation under bond. You have indicated to us that the merchandise cleared under this entry will eventually be re-exported or destroyed, as required by U.S. Customs Regulations.

Specifics of the entry are as follows:

ENTRY NUMBER: ______YOUR REF: ______UTi REF: ______POTENTIAL PENALTY : ______DATE OF IMPORT: ______BOND EXP DATE: ______

Please note the potential penalty amount shown above represents double the duty that would be applicable to this shipment if it were entered into the U.S. under normal entry procedures. This is the amount of penalty U.S. Customs will demand of you if you fail to comply with the T.I.B. procedures established by Customs Regulation. For your assistance, we provide below a recap of the applicable regulations:

1. It is incumbent upon the importer of record to ensure accurate compliance with the T.I.B. regulations; any penalties are assessed by U.S. Customs directly upon the Importer of Record. 2. You are permitted one (1) year from the date of importation to export the merchandise or to destroy it under Custom’s supervision. 3. Maximums of two (2) extensions are permitted, approved in one-year increments. Extension requests must be submitted to U.S. Customs for their approval to one year from the date of importation, or one year from the date last approved by extension request through Customs. 4. Exportation or destruction must be accomplished under Custom’s supervision. Customs may elect to waive this supervision. You must provide Customs with advance notification of your intent to export or destroy within the allowed time period and Customs will respond with their decision to inspect merchandise or waive inspection. 5. Presentation of documentation to Customs is required prior to exportation or destruction. This documentation serves as cancellation of the Temporary Import Bond. If this cancellation documentation is not provided to Custom within the allowed time frames, Customs records will show your T.I.B. as unreconciled and a penalty notice demanding, from you, the penalty amount shown above, will be issued. 6. Again, the ultimate responsibility for proper handling of merchandise imported under T.I.B. belongs to you. UTi will be glad to assist you with the cancellation of your T.I.B., however, you must advise us, in writing, of your intent to extend, export or destroy at least one week prior to the bond expiration date. 7. UTi will not accept liability for payment of any Customs penalties related to untimely exportation, destruction or extension of merchandise entered under this T.I.B.

THIS IS THE ONLY NOTIFICATION YOU WILL RECEIVE.
