How to Gain Access to the Customer Label Distribution System (CLDS)

External customers or non-USPS employees who wish to use the CLDS application, first need to register with Customer Registration to receive sign-in information.

1) To access Customer Registration, navigate to https://ecap-ws- prod.usps.com/entreg/signUpView.do?app=CLDS&appURL=https://clds.usps.com/clds/.

a. Create a username and password, and select a security question and answer in the event that you forget your password. Click the Continue button.

b. Select Business as your profile account type and click the Continue button.

c. Enter your Business profile contact and company information. Complete the necessary fields and click the Continue button.

d. Review your company information to assure it is correct. Click the Continue button.

e. Agree to the terms of the Privacy Act. Select the Yes button and click the Continue button.

f. You are notified that you have selected the CLDS Business Service and you are prompted to select your Existing Business Location or add New Business Locations. Check the box next to your Business Name and click Next.

g. You are notified that you have been granted access to CLDS at the business location you have specified. Click Continue.

h. You are now Signed In to the Business Customer Gateway. To access CLDS, click the link under Mail & Transport.

2) Those users who already have a Customer Registration account should obtain a Mailer Identification (MID), in addition to registering their account as a Customer Registration Business user. If a user does not obtain a Mailer Identification (MID), they will be able to use CLDS utilizing a generic Mailer Identification (MID).

a. NOTE: If you register your account as a Customer Registration Personal user, you will NOT be able to access CLDS.

3) Users who already have a MID will be able to sign in to the CLDS application.

4) To obtain your MID number, users should access the MID System at http://mid.usps.com.

5) When returning to CLDS, you must first Sign In to the Business Customer Gateway. To do this you have two options: Page 1 of 2 a. Navigate to https://clds.usps.com/clds.

i. Click on the Sign In link for Existing Business Users.

ii. You will be directed to the Business Customer Gateway Login Screen.

iii. Sign in using your Customer Registration username and password that you created in Step 1.

iv. After Signing In, click on the link for CLDS under Mail & Transport. b. Navigate to https://gateway.usps.com/bcg/

i. Sign in using your Customer Registration username and password that you created in Step 1.

ii. After Signing In, click on the link for CLDS under Mail & Transport.
