Unit4_Act5 Make a video

Congratulations! It’s your last activity!

You know the body parts, you can talk about pain or about how to do a first aid intervention and what kind or medicines to take. That’s the reason why you have to show all you know.

In a group of 3 or 4 people, write a script about a person who has an accident, someone helps him/her do a first aid procedure, after that, he/she goes to the doctor or calls an ambulance. Then, they have an appointment, the doctor prescribes him/her a medicine… After doing the script and showing it to your teacher, make a video.

Example of a script:

James: Ow, ouch!! Help! Help! I need some help! Annie: Oh my god! What happened? Are you ok? What’s your name? James: I am not ok. My name is James. I have fallen down these stairs, I have some pain in my knee and my foot. Oh my god!! Blood!! (James faints!) Annie: Help! Help! What I am going to do? (She remembers that it's important to raise his legs when someone faints and she does it). (Now James recovers his conscience) James: Ow.. Who are you? What are you doing here? Argh…. Annie: My name is Annie and I am helping you. How's your knee? And your foot? James: I'm in a lot of pain!! Argh!! Annie: I am going to call an ambulance… (Now Annie takes her mobile phone and calls 112 and the ambulance is on its way) James: I have a lot of blood… Annie: Don’t worry, I'll help you. (Annie takes a clean handkerchief and cleans the wound.) After 10 minutes, the ambulance is here. (James goes to the hospital) (When he arrives at the hospital, he has a conversation with the doctor) Doctor: Good morning! What happened, James? James: I have fallen down the stairs and I have some pain in my left foot and my left knee. Doctor: I am going to check it. Your knee is fine but your foot is swollen. You'll need some x-rays taken. (James has X-rays taken and after that, he speaks another time with the doctor)

AF_SCC02_ What's the matter? / AF 4 Doctor: Let’s me see… (He looks at the x-ray photography) I have bad news, your foot is broken. We have to put your foot in plaster. I’m sorry, you’ll need crutches to walk for one month of rest. James: Thanks doctor. It doesn’t matter, it could be worse… I am fine! James: See you soon! Doctor: See you!
