EMPLOYEE SELF SERVICE (ESS) LOG IN AND CONTACT INFORMATION
You must obtain an employee id number from your local HR representative. Once that is received, your login information will be created that evening and your information will be accessible the next day.
Below are some tips to help you log into your ESS account. On the ESS main page https://employees.yrgrp.com, there is a self service guide located under the title “Me.” Within the guide you’ll find instructions to: . Make password changes . View or make changes to your personal information . View or Print your paystub, or Set up / W4 information . Sign up for Direct Deposit Helpful Tips When Logging Into ESS:
Never put your SS# & DOB in an email when requesting help logging on!!
. ESS is accessible from home or anywhere the internet is available.
. When you log into the site, make sure that your caps lock is turned on.
. Your login would be your legal name as follows: last name (all caps), followed by your first name (all caps), and followed by your day of birth. (i.e., If Jane Smith was born on March 18, 1971 her ESS username would be SMITHJANE18).
. You will be prompted for a password. Your default password will be the last 4 numbers of your social security number followed by the special character of dash - and the 2 digit month and 2 digit year of your date of birth. (For example: of Jane’s SSN# is 123456789 and her date of birth is March 18, 1971, then her password would be 6789-0371. Once you log in successfully, please change your password immediately. Your password should be at least 8 characters in length and must include two numbers and one special character. Your password will expire every 60 days.
. When your password has expired you will be prompted to change it by clicking on the “change your password” link. Your new password must be at least 8 characters in length and have at least 2 numeric characters and 1 special character. Enter your current password followed by a new password. Confirm your new password by entering it again and clicking on the Change Password button. Log out of the system and log back in using your new password or else the change will not take affect.
. You should also verify that the correct business email address is stored for you. If it is incorrect, or not shown, please notify your local Human Resource contact immediately.
. If you try to log in 4 times unsuccessfully, your account will be locked and you will need to click on the Ooops! Forgot my Password link, enter your username and answer the hint question to obtain a temporary password AND unlock your account. A temporary password will then be emailed to your business email account. Once you receive the email please follow the directions contained within.
. When experiencing difficulties logging in, please be sure to delete “cache” as follows: Deleting Your Cache Files To delete a cache file make sure that you are logged off of the portal. Click on Internet Explorer, click on “Tools”, “Internet Options”. Next click on “Delete Cookies” and click “OK”. Click on “Delete Files”, check the “Delete all offline content” box and click “OK”. Click “OK” again. Paste the hyperlink in the address field again and hit enter. If you still experience problems, call your local IT help desk.
NOTE: The above steps will be different if you are using a browser other than Internet Explorer.
