Tom Olson Memorial Beef Scholarship
The Tom Olson Memorial Beef Scholarship was established in 2015 in memory of Tom Olson. Tom was a lifelong cattle producer who was greatly influenced by showing and raising cattle. He was active in 4-H as a youth and later served as a 4-H leader and was a Beef committee Superintendent and volunteer. He greatly enjoyed his time spent helping young people with beef projects.
The following criteria will be used to recognize one Clinton County Beef Exhibitor, each year until 2035. (In the year of a qualified grandchild, two scholarships will be given)
1. Be a Senior 4-H or FFA member and current member of the Clinton County 4-H or FFA program 1.1.2. Must have shown significant involvement in the Beef Program during their 4-H or FFA career. Involvement will be measured by the experience gained throughout the member's career, having participated in exhibiting Beef projects at the Fair. 1.1.3. Must have exhibited Breeding or Market Beef projects at the Fair a minimum of 3 years. (Current year may be included in total)
The scholarship will be paid directly to the recipient's college/ trade school upon completion of their first semester. If the recipient will be serving in the military after high school, the scholarship will be paid to the college/ trade school upon attendance after service. Please have your 4-H or FFA role model mail their letter of recommendation to the same address.
If possible, please email a senior-year picture of yourself to Brianne Johnson at [email protected].
The application and the letter of recommendation need to be received in separate envelopes.
