AUSTIN, Texas – A pair of senior swimmers, Meg Stanley of Illinois Wesleyan and Andrew Wilson of Emory, headline the 2017 Academic All-America® Division III At-Large Teams, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

A history and secondary education major from Leawood, Kansas, with a 3.97 grade-point average, Stanley was named the Women’s At-Large Academic All-American of the Year. The CoSIDA Men’s At-Large Academic All-American of the Year for the second time (2015), Wilson is a physics and applied mathematics major with a 3.83 G.P.A. from Bethesda, Maryland.

The CoSIDA Division III Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division III national governance structure, to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2016-17 Division III Academic All-America® teams program.

Stanley became Illinois Wesleyan's first national champion after she took first in the 500-yard freestyle at the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships in March. The 2017 CCIW Female Swimmer of the Year, Stanley also claimed All-America honors in the 1,650-yard freestyle with a third-place finish.

She is a volunteer for Reading is Fundamental and Susan G. Komen activities, the local Tool Library and Bed Blitz, and helped organize Student Education Association fundraisers for The Promise Council. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa honor society along with the Alpha Lambda Delta and Kappa Delta Pi honoraries.

Wilson led Emory to its first NCAA Division III team title in program history in March. He was named the CSCAA Swimmer of the Year after winning national titles in five events: the 100-yard breaststroke, 200-yard breaststroke, 200-yard individual medley, 200-yard medley relay and 400-yard medley relay. All five times set new Division III records.

He finished his illustrious career as a two-time CSCAA National Swimmer of the Year, a 10-time national champion, 17- time All-American, two-time UAA Swimmer of the Year, 15-time UAA Champion, 20-time All-UAA finisher and as a three- time CSCAA Scholar All-American.

Among the 45 student-athletes of each gender selected to the Division III Academic All-America® At-Large teams, eight men and 12 women carry 4.0 or better grade-point averages. The 15 members of the men’s at-large first team carry an average G.P.A. of 3.83, while the 15 members of the women’s at-large team carry an average G.P.A. of 3.87.

Twenty men and 12 women are repeat CoSIDA Academic All-America® selections. Three men and one woman earned their third straight CoSIDA Academic All-America® selections.

The lone three-time CoSIDA Academic All-America® honoree on the women’s side, Denison senior swimmer Campbell Costley earned CoSIDA Academic All-America® first-team honors in 2017 and 2016, while earning second-team distinction in 2015. A native of Glencoe, Illinois, Costley is an English major with a 3.96 G.P.A. Stanley, Wilson Lead CoSIDA Academic All-America ® Division III At-Large Teams – Page 2

He finished in the top-three 10 times at nationals, where he led the Blue Jays to four top-10 finishes, including three fourth-place finishes. Greenhalgh held the national record in the 500-yard freestyle for two years before it was broken at the 2017 NCAA Championship. He holds three school records, nine of the school’s top 10 times in the 500-yard freestyle, all top 10 times in the 1,000-yard freestyle and nine of 10 in the 1,650-yard freestyle.
