The PTO of Sutton Elementary School & Simonian Center for Early Learning a Chain of Lights Gingerbread House Contest and 2nd Annual build your Own Gingerbread House!
Our school is excited to once again be a trolley stop during the Chain of Lights on December 2, 2017. Be part of our Gingerbread House Spectacular! Please join in the fun and submit a gingerbread house for the contest or come build one with our experienced elves. Here’s how you can be part of this fun event!
Gingerbread House Contest Rules:
Houses must be on a base which is no bigger than 24” x 18” and all components must be edible.
The Gingerbread Houses will be judged in 4 categories by the visitors of Chain of Lights who stop at the Sutton Elementary School & Simonian Center for Early Learning. (Child/Family/Adult/Organization)
Build and Decorate Your Own Gingerbread House:
We are offering our “Gingerbread House” kits. Inside is everything you need to build your house (gingerbread house parts, icing, candy and other goodies). The price is $10/kit at the event which includes assistance from our elves in building the house. Pre- register to ensure we reserve you a kit.
We are also taking pre-orders for those who wish to enter the contest or to build at home on your time. These also make great gifts! Pre-orders will be available for pick-up at the ELC/Simonian Center the week of Thanksgiving, or at my house. We are hoping to have the best contest yet as such organizations and groups will receive a quantity discount. The price is $10/kit for pre-orders.
*** In the spirit of giving, 100% of all proceeds will be donated to the local Sutton Community. This year’s donations will be to Sutton families dealing with Cancer. Drop-off Information: Location: Sutton Elementary School Cafeteria (across the hall from the gym) Friday, December 1, 2017 6:00-7:30PM or Saturday, December 2, 2017 8:00-9:30AM
Pre-orders /Gingerbread House Building and Decorating: (PLEASE PAY AT PICK-UP OR AT EVENT)
Qty: ___ Pre-order: $10/ kit Gingerbread Kit (Gingerbread house parts, cardboard base, squeeze bottle, icing, and candy). Kits are available for pick-up 11/20-11/21 at the Elementary School Parent Pick-up after school. Other pickup options are available.
