MATH LESSON PLAN
TITLE OF LESSON: “MORE THAN LESS THAN” Hopscotch
TOPIC/THEME: Kindergarten math/Teaching students the concept of “More Than & Less Than”
FOCUS: I will perform hopscotch in front of the class to get the class attention. Once I have the attention of my students, I will Model the lesson.
OBJECTIVES: My students will be able to observe record and verbally describe the concept of MORE THAN and LESS THAN. My students will demonstrate MORE THAN & LESS THAN using the hopscotch game, and various manipulative objects

SEK. 1A-Use one-to-one correspondence and language such as more than.
Hopscotch board
Crayons
Variety of manipulatives
ASSESSMENT: Assess the student’s attention and focus during the lesson through eye contact and body placement (sitting appropriately in their seats and following class rules, such as using a raising their hand to speak and waiting to be called upon before answering questions). Assess the student’s understanding of the lesson, by looking at their worksheets and listening to their descriptions of how they represented the “More Than Less Than” concept of what they have just learned.
CLOSURE: Bring the students to the group area to discuss what they have learned by asking them to explain to me what they have done today in class and the reason why they did this lesson and finally have them tell me what they have learned during the lesson. NOTES:
Weekly data is collected t show student progress, as indicated by IEP, and may be found in student profile.
Students use Accountable Talk by the teachers asking questions prompted by picture and voice and the students reply by voice, pictures, or actions, to confirm their knowledge learned.
