This Great Social Outdoor 8-A-Side T20 Cricket Game Lasts Around 2 Hours. All 8 Wickets

This great social outdoor 8-a-side T20 cricket game lasts around 2 hours. All 8 wickets are needed to bowl a cricket team out. When the seventh wicket falls, the Last Man Stands on his own! Each player is encouraged to log themselves on the www.lastmanstands.com website from where you can receive statistics and world rankings online. This allows players and teams to play cricket locally, and compare their performances to other LMS T20 cricket individuals and sides from around the world. All LMS teams receive Team World Rankings as well. To get a better feel or more information log on to www.lastmanstands.com Rules The full rules can be found on the LMS Website. The following variations will apply to the Taunton league:  Batters will retire when they reach 30, returning batters must return in the order in which they retired  Only runs actually scored by the batter will be added to their total. Penalty runs (no balls, wides etc ) will accrue to Extras  Minimum age is 14. 14 – 17 yr olds must be accompanied by a parent or adult appointed by their parent  Captains are asked to decide at the outset of the match whether they will apply the “double play” run out rule and communicate this clearly to the opposition.

All games will be played on Monday and Wednesday evenings at Taunton Vale CC (TA2 6LP) with one match per team at Bagborough CC Season is scheduled to start Wednesday 17th May and will conclude on Wednesday 19th July with a reserve week beginning Monday 24th July. The exact format of the competition will be determined when the full entry is known but it is envisaged that teams will play a minimum of 8 fixtures.. In the light of previous seasons : Teams are respectfully asked to be certain that they can fulfil the full season before they enter. Please also understand that whilst competitive spirit is important, this is a “social” league, the objective of which is to increase participation in cricket, perhaps by introducing new players to the game or maybe by extending playing careers. It is our wish that all matches are conducted with this in mind.
