WAGES has the following job opening: Compliance Coordinator. Applications may be submitted to HR closing 2/25/15.

Job Title: Compliance Coordinator (EHS CC Partnerships) Exempt Department: Division of Children and Families Supervisor: Assistant Director for Children and Families Function: To manage/monitor child and family development services for EHS Child Care Partnerships. Minimum Qualifications:

1. Education/Formal Training: Preferably Bachelors in Early Childhood Development/Education.

2. Work Experience: Experience in child care and early education; experience working with low-income families.

3. Aptitudes: Strong managerial skills; good organizational skills; ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; demonstrated leadership ability; ability to implement principles of shared authority and decision-making and ability to provide exceptional customer service.

4. Essential Responsibilities:

(1) Ensure quality and child and family development services are provided for enrolled children in EHS Child Care Partnerships. (2) Assist in the development of adequate time lines, work plans, procedures, forms and other management tools to assure that these programs fulfill their goals and objectives related to Early Head Start Performance Standards, school readiness goals and other programmatic outcomes. (3) Assure that files, records and reports, and other requirements of the funding sources are accurate. (4) Ensure that NC child care licensing regulations are adhered to and exceeded. (5) Develop comprehensive monitoring systems and conduct on-going monitoring for Early Head Start to ensure compliance with local, state and federal mandates. (6) Assure program objectives and activities are completed in a timely manner and conduct on-going assessments of quality of service provision and progress towards meeting programmatic goals and report monitoring results to the Assistant Director for Children and Families. (7) Work cooperatively with child care partners (8) Work cooperatively with agency staff and the public to foster coordinated and integrated program operations. (9) Participate in training and other activities relevant to the job. (10) Assist Education Coordinators in the optimal execution of the WAGES School Readiness Plan (11) Insure that records and required data collection are properly maintained and are completed in a timely fashion. (12) Interpret monthly monitoring reports from Child Plus. (13) Insure that all child care partner employees are fully trained and regularly in-serviced regarding job responsibilities and information related to their professional developments. (14) Provide direct client service as needed. (15) Attend and participate in regular staff meetings, management meetings, supervision and other training activities. (16) Abide by all WAGES program policies. (17) Support and interpret WAGES mission, programs, objectives, concepts, and goals. (18) Other duties as assigned by the Director for Children and Families.

Compensation: $35,000-$40,000
