Freedom House, a domestic and sexual violence agency and shelter in Princeton founded in 1983, with outreach offices in Kewanee and Cambridge, has an immediate opening for an experienced administrator to oversee its Domestic Violence (DV) program. This position is part of the organization’s five-member management committee and reports directly to the Executive Director.

Qualifications/Skills and Knowledge Requirements:  Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or similar discipline, from an accredited college/university  Candidates with a Master’s degree in social sciences or counseling will be given priority.  At least ten years’ experience in DV direct service and/or shelter management, and a track record of growing responsibility in DV programming administration  Must be an Illinois Certified Domestic Violence Professional (ICDVP)  Must have successfully completed ICADV-approved 40-hour DV training; 63.5-hour ICADV/ICASA training preferred  Demonstrated federal and state grant writing experience  Demonstrated federal and state grant administration experience  Proficiency with PCs and software applications utilized by the agency, including Microsoft Office Suite and InfoNet  Demonstrated program development and implementation skills  Strong leadership skills  Ability to work effectively, in a professional manner, at all levels within the organization and with outside stakeholders to support and promote the agency’s mission and vision  Proficiency in written and verbal communication  Ability to work effectively with diverse populations

The ideal candidate is currently employed in a DV program leadership or supervisory position and wishes to join a stable, growing, and dynamic agency. This is a full-time, salaried FLSA-exempt position that may require 10-15% travel to Springfield and within the agency’s five-county service area. Salary commensurate with experience. Generous PTO and healthcare package. 403b retirement plan. Mileage and training reimbursement.
