Summer Research Seed Grant Application Guidelines

DEADLINE: Completed applications must be received by email no later than February 15 at 12:00 pm.

Applications Must Include: Completed Summer Research Seed Grant Application (3 pages)

Project Status Narrative (600-word maximum) Within the narrative, applicants should provide a summary of the project, the status of the project in terms of completed work (chapters in MS, portions previously published), work to be completed during the tenure of the major grant, if it is awarded, and any work that you anticipate will be accomplished following the grant period.

You may request up to $2,000 in your budget as a writing stipend to support time to prepare the research narrative that will be part of your grant submission. The stipend is considered taxable income. Up to a maximum of $5,000 (including the stipend) may be requested to support archival or other research related expenses that will advance the project. Please provide details on travel, living expenses, and miscellaneous expenses in relation to any archival or site specific research.
