Things to keep in mind while watching the movie … You aren’t turning the above questions in, but definitely take down notes on them and be prepared to discuss them. 1. In terms of id, ego, superego; what characters seem to embody each one? 2. The Joker gives two “origin stories”/explanations as to how he got his scars. Why do you think this is? 3. The issue of identity, especially in terms of Jungian psychology. Think of this in terms of Batman/Bruce Wayne, The Joker, and Harvey Dent/Two Face. 4. Is the Joker psychotic? Or, if so, does he start out psychotic? Or, if so, at what point does he become psychotic?
