Daily Assignments: Expect to have a math assignment nearly every day. Practice is an essential component in mastering the skills they are taught in class. Students are typically given some time in class to work on the assignment. Assignments become homework if they are not completed in class. Assignments will be reviewed and discussed at the beginning of class the following day. *Remember: All assignments are listed on the class website.* Missing Work: Reports will be posted weekly. It is the student’s responsibility to manage their missing assignments. Missing assignments are recorded as a zero in the grade book until they are submitted. Extra copies: If a student loses a printed assignment, they should print a new copy from the class website or make other arrangements with the teacher. Extra copies of printed assignments are intended for absent students.
Interactive Notebooks: The purpose of the Interactive Notebook is to let you be a creative, independent thinker and writer. Interactive notebooks will be used for class notes, assignments, as well as for other activities where you will be asked to express your own ideas and process the information presented in this class. These count as daily grades and will require an evaluation component from the student, teacher, and parent. Please see the Interactive Notebook Acknowledgement for more detailed information.
