Local senior resource center or city/county recreation center These venues are often a good ‘first stop’ for identifying local alternative transportation resources beyond the regional public transportation system, e.g., small non-profit and service organizations that provide transportation support. Many of these centers have classes on accessing alternative transportation and some also have classes on driving wellness.

Alternatives to transportation

 Delivery services, e.g., for groceries and medications. Many grocery stores and pharmacies deliver.

 Activities that meet quality of life needs but can happen in or very close to home, e.g., gardening instead of book club meetings; hosting social and family gatherings at own home.
