Role Description

POSITION INFORMATION:

Title: IBI US IT Manager Location: New York (Main base), travel to other offices required Reporting Structure: Directly to the IBI IT Manager based in the UK and a line to: Service & Support team staff in the US. Compensation Range Based on experience + bonus and comprehensive benefits package.

INTRODUCTION:

We are looking for a person to represent the interests of the IBI business in the US and deliver all technical services provided by the local Desktop support team. The US IT Manager will ensure that the needs of the business are being met and that any incidents raised are resolved in a timely and efficient manner. This person will be the “owner” of all IT related issues and projects for IBI US users.

The 2012 goal for this role will be for this role to be the primary communicator between Local support team, US central IT and the IBI IT Manager.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

The ideal candidate will possess the following characteristics and experience –

 Strong people management skills with the potential of managing technical teams and 1st and 2nd line support levels.  In time excellent communication skills will be essential to keep the business up to speed on developments in technology use within the group.  Hands-on, involved leader.  MUST be a process and controls advocate and have proven experience in the implementation of them in a widely dispersed technical environment.  MUST have a proven delivery record of excellent service in a technical environment.  MUST have a proven record of undertaking projects and successfully delivering these in the set timeframes.  Is very pragmatic regarding business issues. Does not function solely from a technology perspective.  MUST have a proactive approach to identifying issues and proposing solutions.  High energy and results driven.  Willingness to work weekends on a rare occasion as required.

TECHNOLOGY EXPERIENCE

Essential for the role, it would be an advantage if the selected candidate has experience with the following technology platforms:

 Microsoft Windows XP / 7  Microsoft Active Directory  Microsoft Server Exchange  Microsoft Office 2007  Backup technology  Security, filtering and monitoring  Windows Deployment  SLA Implementation  Avaya IP Telephony  Blackberry enterprise  Call logging software  Publishing tools  Online collaboration (webex support)  Salesforce.com support  Other IBI applications as required DESIRABLE:  Proven experience in ensuring the business makes best use of the technology that is deployed in the business.  Proven experience in delivering against set deadlines.  Has experience in managing multiple priorities in a large business environment.  Someone looking for the next step up in their career.  Has a business focused approach to IT, not a purely technical one. We are looking for someone that has the ability to understand business drivers.  Business continuity project management and creation  Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with senior managers and staff.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:

The selected candidate will be accountable for accomplishing the following objectives –

 Manages the Disaster Recovery and IT aspect of IBI’s Business Continuity Planning  Supports all IBI US offices and home workers as required  Special projects and the willingness to take on projects as and when required  Proactively seek out improving the level of service and manage KPI’s.  Own every IT related issue from start to finish.  Raise the level of acceptance and satisfaction of IT services amongst the user base.  Implement improved communication methods and procedures.  Make recommendations on strategy with the IBI IT Manager.  Directly manage the performance of the US IBI Helpdesk team.  Maintaining the Disaster recovery program for IBI from a Technical perspective.  Upgrade and implement the latest Microsoft technologies, Office, windows bitlocker

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES 2012:

 Drive better use of services through constant interaction with the business.  Ensure that all IBI business needs are met by the services provided by the central infrastructure and applications teams.  Consolidate and integrate all systems in are stack and follow the US central IT model.  Manage risk and impact  Work with Central IT teams to help integrate systems and hardware.  Proactively develop the team through objective setting and knowledge sharing across the team.
