Job Description: Digital Marketing Executive Hours Salary Job Description: Digital Marketing Executive Department: Digital Marketing Executive Hours 3 days per week Salary: £22,000 – 26,000 (pro-rata), depending on experience Duration: Initially until March 31st 2021, possible contract extension Location: Homeworking / Avon Tyrrell Outdoor Centre (Minimum of one day at Avon Tyrrell per week) Purpose of the job As part of UK Youth’s commitment to young people, for over 65 years UK Youth has operated an Outdoor Activity Centre at Avon Tyrrell. Working closely with the Head of Guest Services and Business Development and the MarComms Team, the Digital Marketing Executive will produce creative and engaging digital marketing content across our social platforms and website to raise brand awareness among key audiences, promote the positive impacts of outdoor learning and engage local communities with all that Avon Tyrrell has to offer. Key tasks: • To support Avon Tyrrell’s marketing strategy through innovative digital storytelling; • Collate content to write thought provoking case studies that depict the positive impacts of our programmatic delivery and outdoor learning; • Use data sources such as google analytics data to create innovative marketing campaigns that showcase Avon Tyrrell’s USP and build brand awareness; • Support the development of Avon Tyrrell social media strategies and advertising that compliment charity messaging and build brand equity; • Support dynamic copywriting for website content, to update external web listings and for online adverts; • Create new original video content for YouTube and other social media platforms that encourage visitors to tell and share their stories online; • Grow our social media followers and use analytics to increase engagement and hashtag optimisation and oversee management of social ads; • Lead on collateral design including; graphics for social adverts, e-marketing, digital brochures and on-site banners etc.) ensuring it follows UK Youth’s brand guidelines; • Support photography to help build our image portfolio for new innovative content. General: • Professionally and positively represent the Charity at all times. • Attend and participate proactively in staff meetings, team meetings and other meetings as required. • Work effectively with colleagues to achieve the aims and objectives of the charity • Support organisation-wide initiatives to facilitate cross-team working. • Proactively contribute to the effectiveness of meetings, knowledge sharing and staff development. • Take reasonable care of their own health and safety and for that of others who might be affected by their work, as required by law and described in the relevant operating procedures and policies. • Undertake any other duties and reasonable requests that are in keeping with the nature of this post. [email protected] | 0203 1373 810 | ukyouth.org Person Specification: Digital Marketing Executive Experience: • Understanding and experience with a wide range of marketing and communications approaches, particularly in digital storytelling and designing online marketing collateral • Experience of driving digital content and implementation including social media • Design and editing skills in video, audio and image editing programmes • Photography/photo editing • Experience of delivering successful marketing strategies and planning digital projects • Basic experience of using Google AdWords, PPC, social media advertising and other digital marketing tools to engage new audiences and drive traffic • Experience of managing external agencies and stakeholder engagement • IT skills, Microsoft Office, Social media, websites including (CMS systems & SEO optimisation), Photoshop, illustrator and InDesign Knowledge, skills and understanding • Ability to work to deadlines and under own initiative • Excellent planning and organisation skills • Confident working in a busy and deadline-driven work environment • High attention to detail and accuracy • Strong communication skills with the ability to write for different audiences and a range of content • Some experience of managing budgeting effectively and achieving value for money from suppliers. Though not alone in pursuing development of electronic cigarettes, JUUL did so with a familiar strategy. Taking a page from big tobacco’s playbook, JUUL, in concert with its advertising agencies and others, developed a product and marketing strategy that sought to portray its e-cigarette products as trend-setting, stylish and used by the type of people teenagers look up to. In addition to advertisements eerily similar in scheme and content to those of traditional cigarette manufacturers, JUUL utilized social media extensively, knowing full well that teenagers are the primary users of social media. In particular, JUUL enlisted the services of social media “influencers”—social media personalities with large followings (“Social Media Influencers”)—to surreptitiously promote JUUL’s products. Similarly, JUUL developed an “affiliate program” whereby it paid third parties (“JUUL Affiliates”) to refer would-be customers to JUUL’s website. JUUL forbid the JUUL Affiliates from disclosing their affiliation with JUUL. 4. JUUL also expended significant resources marketing directly to students. Through “education” programs at schools, JUUL employees and agents sought to raise awareness of JUUL’s flavored, low-irritation nicotine products among students.
