Present: Kathy, Karen, Rick, Sara, Michele
Assessment Process:
Will be scheduling a meeting with Institutional Research on how to best close the loop on assessments requiring their approval. o What do they actually need from us that they aren’t receiving? o Where is the process breaking down? Rubric Summary Ratings – Dr. Woolfolk was impressed with the great work being done on assessment; positions SAEM well for Middle States reaccreditation process o Dr. Woolfolk will be meeting with Directors from those areas receiving “Facing Significant Challenges” ratings Program review discussion was tabled until the January meeting – Michele re-sent Kathy’s email with links to what other colleges are doing toward this effort
Subcommittee Update:
Marketing/Communications: Add Part I, II & III for each assessment conducted to assessment website o Make items password protected so SAEM leadership, Directors, Steering Group & Assessment Team representatives are the only ones allowed access o Begin with Part I’s for 2016-2017 Since some departmental assessments overlap assessment years, create “folders” on webpage for 3 assessment cycles at a time so people can find the appropriate Part I, II & III for their particular assessment (i.e. 2015-2016; 2016-2017; 2017-2018) “We Heard Your Voice” flyers should be placed on Assessment webpage The Fall schedule for the “We Heard Your Voice” campaign is as follows: o October: Lifestyles Center o November: Disability Support Services o December: Counseling Services Center
Training/Development & Outreach: Assessment showcase date will be January 10th from 9am-12pm. “Save the date” announcements will go out soon. o Kathy will approach Jerald/Mike Flaherty for funding the continental breakfast o Kathy will pay for poster board for each department Format will be: o Presentation (Campus Life-Student Activities Assessment findings) o Poster showcase (What did you do?
