Having a sound working knowledge in Petroleum Refinery, Petrochemicals and power plants Instrumentation field as Instrumentation Technician. Major responsibilities discharged during this period involve Total Shutdown and Breakdown of Facilities, Preventive maintenance, Fault finding and Corrective maintenance, Turn around, project implementation activities in the field of process Instrumentation, Analyzers, Gas detection Instruments and Machinery Control.

Qualification: National council for vocational Training (NCVT) in Instrumentation with first class (hons) from Madras Institute of Engineering Technology, Chennai, Tamilnadu. Diploma in Electrical & Electronic Engineering with first class (hons) from International Council for Management Statius institute, Chennai, Tamilnadu.

Safety training: SCBA handling and training course SOLAR observer training program . Environment management system training program Hazard recognition and classification program. Confined space entrant and attendant training course and authorization Technical experience:

Have ability to read P & I Diagram, Functional logic diagram, Gate Logic, Relay Logic, Loop Diagram, Ladder Diagram & Loop Schematic. MAXIMO work permits system.

Calibration of Pneumatic, Electronic and SMART Transmitters of different makes (Rosemount, Fuji, MTL, Honeywell, Foxboro, Endess+Hauser, smar, Yokogawa etc.) for the measurement of Pressure, Differential Pressure, Flow, Temperature, Level, Interface Level and Density.

Calibration and Configuration using different SMART Transmitter’s Communicators and Configurators: - HART -275 & 475, HHT, HHC.

Calibration, servicing and overhauling of Control Valves of different types and makes (Fisher, ABB, Masoneilan, IL, MIL, Neles Jamesbury, Valtek, El-o-matic etc…). Installation, Calibration and Configuration of SMART Positioners (Fisher, Masoneilan SVI-II, Siemens).

Calibration and repairing of Pressure, Temperature, Flow and Level Switches and Gauges, I/P and P/I Converters.

Calibration and repairing of Electronic and Pneumatic Controllers of Yokogawa, Taylor and Masonelian.

Calibration and Maintenance activities of following Analyzers O2, pH and Conductivity.

Calibration and Programming of Speed Monitors/Transmitters (Bently Nevada) and Vibration/Speed Probes.

Servicing and calibration of tank gauging systems like SAAB Radar and Enraf.

Servicing and calibration of guided wave Radars, Electromagnetic flowmeters,Vortex ,Ultrasonic and Mass flow meter of Magnetrol, Micromotion, FCI, Krohne marshall, GE panametrics. Distributed Control System & PLC:

 Working experience in DCS: - Yokogawa Centum, Honeywell TPS 3000, Fisher Rosemount Delta V System.

 Working experience in Modicon, ABB, Crompton Creaves PLC system and Honeywell FSC system.

 Hydrogen compressors control systems like FT50, Altronic ignition systems.

 Bently Nevada’s vibration monitoring systems.

 Knowledge about piping and Instrumentation Drawings.

 Simulation and loop checking of instruments and systems.

 Fault finding and Fault analysis of Instrumentation systems.

 Work Exposure on Process Safe Guarding Systems.

Documentation Works:

 Documentation work for ISO 9001(Quality management system) and ISO 14001(environment management system).

 Preparation of calibration certificates and history cards and periodical updation of datas.

 Planning and implementation of preventive maint schedules.

 Quality control and stock maintenance of instruments. Projects: As a project team player involved in implementation of following projects at serviced concerns.

 Commissioning of captive thermal power plant and its shut down activities.

 As a part implemented HBR recovery plant and isobutylene recovery project.

 Bulk chemicals manufacturing unit commissioning and construction actives.

 Project activities at new Truck Loading and Saban Local marketing pumping station facilities at shuaiba refinery.

 Role on preparing punch list and post project activities.

 Worked as Instrument Technician at Reliance Industries Ltd., (Refinery Division) through Hyperin IT Private Ltd., India From Oct 2005 to Feb. 2006.

 Worked as Instrument Technician at TANFAC Industries Ltd., through M/s. J.P. Electricals, India During june– Sep 2005.

 Worked as Instrument Technician at Tagros chemicals ltd., India from Sep 2003 to may 2005.

 Worked as Instrument Technician at Auromin Controls & Instrumentation Engineering, India from Nov 2001 to Aug 2003.

 Worked as Instrument Technician at TANFAC Industries Ltd., (Aditya Birla Group) through M/s. J.P. Electricals, India from Jan 2001 to Oct 2001.
