Overall Purpose of the Job
To assist the Visitor Centre (VC) Regional and Assistant Manager to operate a first class customer care service, retail and interpretation outlet for visitors and help meet the membership objectives of the Scottish Wildlife Trust (SWT)
Main Objectives
Assist in day to day running of the VC including set up of retail and exhibition areas
Provide first class customer care and visitor services, running the reception and exhibition area, promote the work of SWT and raise the profile of Loch of the Lowes Wildlife Reserve
Meet set and agreed membership recruitment targets
Maximise sales, donations and commercial returns from the VC
Assist in the running of the planned programme of events and children’s activities
Raise the profile of SWT and Loch of the Lowes Visitor Centre & Reserve by providing effective and innovative information
Provide live interpretation of the wildlife at Loch of the Lowes within the Visitor Centre & hides
Contribute to social media outputs e.g. blog/twitter
Provide occasional staff cover for local off site events
Provide occasional support to the Perthshire Ranger with practical conservation work days Scottish Wildlife Trust Job Description

Qualifications /Experience Essential Desirable
