Client: NOKIA June 2005 To Till Date Project Name : Long Island Position : Web UI Team Size : 4 Environment : C, Apache, XML, DOM, AJAX, HTML, Javascript. / Device : NOKIA 50 i Project Description : The aim of the project was to develop an Web based GUI for the Nokia IP-VPN range of devices. With the graphical interface,IT managers in small offices can manage gateway policies and configurations using an easy-to-use, centralized management solution to deploy, deliver, and update VPN policies and configurations.

These range of devices are Embedded Systems based on Intel Pentium-3 Architecture running Nokia modified FreeBSD 4.4 Operating System. A stripped down version of Apache server running on this device would respond to user requests.

Responsibilities : Understand requirements through regular interaction with Network Development Team. Come out with GUI design for the various requirements and seek approval of applicable executives. Perform usability testing and synthesize data into concrete GUI design proposals with User research.

Ensure thorough quality testing and documentation of the software developed before deployment into Production. Interact with other departments to ensure that the software developed is adequately meeting requirements. For the prototyping phase, Produced "rapid functional prototype" and final production web pages on a regular, short schedule (2..4 weeks). HTML page layout, style sheets, PhotoShop work, JavaScript application programming were used to accomplish the following interactive functionality tasks. In the production phase, I spent another two months working with others to translate the prototypes I had created into working pages.
