Blueride Care Coordinator Portal

Care Coordination Communiqué Government Programs from Blue Plus

September 23, 2016 BlueRide Care Coordinator Portal

As you are aware from previous communication, BlueRide has been working on several systems improvements and efficiencies. Most recently, the ability to email ride requests was made available to Care Coordinators. Effective 9/23/16, Blue Plus is happy to announce the release of the BlueRide Care Coordinator Portal (BRCCP)!

Care Coordinators can use the BRCCP to request transportation for Blue Plus members who are eligible for the transportation benefit. This will eventually completely replace the email process for scheduling rides, and we ask that Care Coordinators currently using the email process begin requesting transportation through the portal. As a Care Coordinator, you will use your Bridgeview logon and password to access the BRCCP. The new process is simple. Enter this web address into your web browser https://www.bluecrossmn.com/blueride/ , enter your currently assigned Bridgeview ID and password.

Once you have logged in, enter the member’s 9 digit ID (beginning with 8) to access their ride history. In addition to reviewing ride history, you will be able to submit requests for future rides and monitor the statuses of those requests in real time. Currently, you will only be able to request transportation for one way and round trip rides. Multi-leg trips will still need to be called in to the call center in the meantime.

After a new ride request is submitted, it is sent over to a BlueRide representative who will verify eligibility and select a transportation vendor. Recently requested rides will show up in the member’s ride history under a status. Once the ride has been set up with a transportation vendor, the status will change to a status. Once a ride is in the status, the name and number of the transportation provider that will be providing the ride shows up under the ‘Vendor’ heading in the ride history. For a more in depth explanation of how the new portal works head over to the website and navigate to the button located in the top right corner of the home screen. If you have a question that isn’t answered in the FAQ, send an email to [email protected].

Remember, if the member needs a ride in less than 3 days or needs a multi-leg trip, they still need to call BlueRide directly at (866)340-8648.

All questions related to this new portal can be directed to the experts at BlueRide by emailing the Transportation Liasion email box: [email protected]
