Classifieds Advertising on the APA website

To place ads on the website go to the APA website at http://www.apaonline.asn.au/classifieds/

Website advertising is on the public domain of the site, you do not need membership details to access this. There is no deadline for booking with the ads working on a rolling month basis. Rates are $62 (plus GST) per month for APA members or $124 (plus GST) per month.

 Log on to http://www.apaonline.asn.au/classifieds/  Select ‘Classifieds’ from the top right hand tool bar located on the home page

1st Time Advertisers

 Click on ‘Become an Advertiser’ on the above tool bar  Note the classified rates here  Type in your email address, your full name, and password then confirm your password REMINDER: Record your password in a safe easy to remember place.  Click on ‘Become an Advertiser’ icon at the bottom of the page  The following message appears: Registration successful Before you can continue, you must verify your email address by clicking on the link sent to your mailbox.  Go into your email inbox and click on the automated message from Classifieds: Before you can log into your account, you must verify your registration by clicking the link below: http://www.apaonline.asn.au/classifieds/verify.php?verify=1219XXXXK  Then the following automated message will appear in your email inbox: Verify email address Success! You are now validated and may access your Registrant area. ‘Click here to continue’  Classifieds then welcomes you to the site and from here you are able to add a new job, change a job/ info/ password, and obtain details such as the number of people who have viewed your ad.  You will receive a second automated message in you email inbox saying: You are now a registered Registrant and may submit your own ads. Please log in at: http://www.apaonline.asn.au/classifieds/member_login.php

Subsequent Logins:

 Note you must respond to both emails automated from your inbox when you first registered before you can access the following.  Log on to www. apaonline.asn.au/classifieds  Select ‘Classifieds’ from the top right hand tool bar located on the home page  Click on ‘Add an Advertisement’ or ‘Login’  Enter your email address and password  You are automatically welcome to the registrant area of Classifieds, from here you are able to add a new job, change a job/ info/ password, and obtain details such as the number of people who have viewed your ad. To edit/delete:  Click onto ‘edit ad(s)’ on the left hand side  This will list the ads you currently have under the heading ‘My items’.  In the right hand column titled ‘Change’ against the relevant ad press ‘Ad’ to make amendments; or ‘Delete’ to delete it.  You should now be back on the template page you first filled out so just make your necessary amendments and when finished click on ‘Become an Advertiser’.

Details required when adding a job:

1. Category – Select a category for your ad e.g. Recruitment, Equipment for Sale etc 2. Title – This must include town/city in title e.g. Energetic Physio wanted for busy Private Practice in Adelaide, South Australia 3. Description – the text that you want to appear within the advertisement. 4. APA Member Number – If a current financial member 5. Contact Details – Phone, Fax, Email, Contact Name 6. State/ Territory 7. Practice Town/ City – i.e. Kent Town, Adelaide 8. Website – of you business (if you have one) 9. Salary Range – tick the appropriate range 10. Position Type – FT, PT, LOCUM or Permanent PT 11. Closing Date 12. Practice Name  Once all details have been entered correctly click on ‘Become an Advertiser’.  You will be asked if you would like to upload a photo at this point. N.B. It will only accept a max of 19kb. To reduce the size of your photo go into to your photo file then click ‘Image’, ‘Resize’, and play around with it until it comes down to 19kb.  Select ‘Finish ad’  This brings you back to your specific Registrant Area page as an overview.
