OLD BUSINESS 1. Student and staff safety  Signs were ordered and are now posted in teacher parking lot stating: “No Student Drop-Off or Pick up” and “Faculty and Staff Parking Only”  Visitor parking remains an issue  All doors to school will be locked and kept locked throughout the school day. No one will be able to enter the school except by main entrance, excluding 600, 700, and 800 doors which lead to another class location. The 200 hall will be locked as well. 2. Teachers/Substitutes/Visitors are “creating” parking spaces beside the handicap space and therefore cutting off the necessary room to actually maneuver in the parking lot. NEW BUSINESS 1. Visitor Passes  Any and everyone inside the building who does not work or attend school here should be signed in at the front office and have a visible visitor pass. Anyone seen without visitor pass should be redirected to front office. BUSINESS FOR ADMINISTRATION TO ADDRESS

NEXT MEETING 2-7-12 TIME 3:10 LOCATION Conference Room DATE MEETING SYNOPSIS The SIT team discussed the safety issue of student pick-up and drop-off in the teacher parking lot. The signs we ordered are now in place. No one has volunteered to help man the gate in the morning to deter student drop-off. The bus parking lot is getting full in the afternoon for student pick-up. This is a problem. Visitors do not have anywhere to park as only one space is reserved for visitor parking. Teachers/Substitutes/Visitors are “creating” parking space beside the handicap space and therefore cutting off the necessary space to actually maneuver in the parking lot.
