This bid was established to qualify vendors as approved under the state purchasing law guidelines. The proposal explained and outlined our purchasing guidelines. It also approved vendors for the Transportation, Law Enforcement, and Maintenance and Operations Supplies/Equipment expenses that arise due to daily operations needs and were not covered by current bid documentation.
Sub-categories were identified and established based on the total expenditures that were well over the $10,000.00 in yearly expenses. The vendor list was based on prior year’s usage, staff requests and vendor requests.

Staff will be required to utilize the approved vendors first, if the supplies requested are not available, outside vendors may be utilized.
The proposal closed on May 5, 2010 with 68 responses. From the results of this proposal, an Approved Vendors Catalog will be established. This catalog will contain the pertinent information with regards to ordering and shipping instructions.
Request approval for award to all vendors meeting specifications outlined under the Support Service Proposal #1005SUPPORT SVC- CAT as a non-exclusive award. This proposal is for a three-year contract and will not be renewed until May, 2013.
Attached is a listing of the vendors which have submitted qualified proposals and we are requesting approval under the #1005SUPPORT SVC-CAT proposal.
