Daily Mass Schedule Today during 6th period.

GUIDANCE *Attention Seniors: -If you are applying "Early" to college and have a November 15th deadline please have your Transcript Request Form handed in by November 5th. You are reminded to first apply to the college before requesting a transcript sent.

-Any student taking the ACT this Saturday at any testing site is reminded to print out your ticket and have it with you Saturday along with a photo ID. If you do not have a photo ID come to the Guidance office ASAP. You will not be able to take the test without the proper registration materials.

-Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. is sponsoring their annual International High School Essay Contest for seniors. The topic is "Considering the Political Climate in the United States and the World, How Much Value Do You Place ON Your Right to Vote?" There will be 4 scholarships awarded to the winners ranging from $1,000 to $5,000. Deadline is October 22nd. More information is available in the Guidance Center.

-ARIA Health School of Nursing in Trevose is having an Open House on Tuesday, October 28 at 5:00PM. Information is available in the Guidance Center.

-University of the Sciences 5th Healthy Lifestyles Scholarship Competition – Scholarships and cash prizes are available to the teams who develop the best Healthy Lifestyles campaign using social media. Social media includes: YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Tumbler, etc. Information is available in the Guidance Center. Deadline: October 24, 2014

-Reach for College is a program for high school students with asthma, diabetes, lupus, Crohn's disease, sickle cell disease or another chronic illness. The session will be held on Saturday, November 8. Information is available in the Guidance Center

STUDENT AFFAIRS *ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS Any student interested in being the mascot for tonight’s game against The Prep, please see Mr. DiMartino or Mrs. Angeline in the Student Affairs Office this morning. *ATTENTION SENIORS All SENIORS received a Diploma Verification form in the mail the week of October 1st. In order to have the correct information for the diplomas, it is very important that we receive a form back from every senior. The completed Diploma Verification form was due by October 15th. If you haven’t already done so, please return this form ASAP to the Office of Student Affairs. It is imperative we have these forms returned in order to verify the correct spelling of your name or you will risk the chance of your name being misspelled on your diploma. If you DID NOT receive a Diploma Verification Form in the mail, please see Mrs. Angeline in the Student Affairs Office.

ADMISSIONS Do you have a friend or relative in 7th or 8th grade deciding on what high school to attend? Make sure you tell them about our Open House, which will be held on Sunday, October 26th from 12pm-3pm.

Fall Sports Awards Assembly/Reception Our Fall Sports Awards Assembly/Reception will take place at RCHS on Monday, November 10th. Admission is $10 per person. The Awards Assembly will take place in the gym at 6:30 PM and will honor Freshman, JV, and Varsity teams from our Fall Sports. Letters, MVP and All Catholic honors will be presented. The Awards Assembly will be followed by a light reception. Tickets need to be purchased in the Financial Affairs Office no later than the end of the school day on Thursday, November 6th. NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AT THE DOOR. Student dress code for this event is the winter uniform.

ROMAN RUN You can run…you can walk…but you definitely don't want to miss this event. Our annual Roman Run will take place on November 9, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. on Kelly Drive. It is a 5k run or a 1 mile fun walk. All students can register for only $15. All registrants will receive a long sleeve t-shirt. Registration Forms can be picked up in the Student Affairs Office or in the McSherry Annex. All proceeds benefit scholarships at Roman Catholic. Hope to see you there. If any students would like to volunteer for the event, which will count towards your service hours, please see Mrs. Evans at McSherry Hall.

COMMUNION BREAKFAST The Annual Memorial Mass and Communion Breakfast will be held on November 16, 2014 at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul at 9:30 a.m. Breakfast immediately follows Mass at10:30 A.M. at the Sheraton Hotel, 17th & Race Streets with time to socialize prior to the program. The Senior class is invited as our guests. A discounted rate of $15 is offered to all Freshmen, Sophomores and Juniors. This year's Communion Breakfast will be one of the signature events of Roman's 125th anniversary celebration. Please make your reservation soon as class seating will close on Tuesday, November 11, 2014. No tickets will be mailed. SADD Trick or Treat, Smell my feet, DON’T DO DRUGS! SADD will be chancing off a bucket of Halloween goodies at all lunches starting Monday, October 27th. Chances are .50 cents each or 3 for $1.

CSC & WORLD AFFAIRS The Community Service Corps and the World Affairs Club will co-sponsor a discussion forum on the global food crisis in conjunction with World Food Day after school onTuesday, October 28, 2014 in the Information Center. All are welcome.

TECHNOLOGY CLUB The Technology Club will meet after school in the library Monday, October 27th. All are welcome.

ICE HOCKEY Last night Roman ‘s JV Ice Hockey defeated Father Judge in preseason action 9-1. Their opening game will be on Monday October 27th at the NESZ at 8:30 PM against Springfield. Goals scored by: Jay Leslie, Jimmy Paul(2), Pierce Domenick, Austin Rehiel(2) Nicholas Verrecchio Kenneth Garsey and Richard Ziegler

Also JV opens up against Carroll tonight at 8:40PM at the Skatium in Havertown.

BOWLING There will be a Bowling meeting for returning bowlers and anyone interested in trying out for the team this year. The meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 5th, in the cafeteria at 7:00PM sharp. All physicals need to be turned into Mr. Eaves before anyone throws a ball. No exceptions! THE FORUM – ROMAN SCHOOL STORE ATTENTION SENIORS - The school store is holding a Class of 2015 T-Shirt Design Contest!!!!!! This contest is open to Seniors ONLY! All drawings and/or ideas must be submitted to the school store NO LATER THAN, WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 5, 2014! Voting will take place the week of NOVEMBER 10 – 14, 2014.
