Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Cleveland Cavaliers – Jan. 8, 2016
Cavaliers Head Coach David Blatt On J.R. Smith’s recent play… “I think the fact that Kyrie is playing really helps because he’s drawing so much attention and the floor opens up. That helps J.R. and obviously we’re moving the ball well.” On starting Smith rather than Shumpert… “Just think about since Shump came back. He’s played well, J.R.’s started and we’ve been winning so no need to mess with it right now.” On Wiggins’ performance… “Seems to be pretty typical against us.” On if they had any halftime adjustment on Wiggins… “We were in control of the game. It’s ok. He can score all he needs to as long as we’re winning the game. It’s not important.” On Shumpert’s play… “I thought he played simple and straight. He didn’t have to play outside of himself. Just knocked down his shots, made good decisions when to shoot. Played both ends of the court as he always does. The ball was falling for him and we got him some more looks too, which he knocked down. I didn’t think he played outside of himself. I thought he did it playing within himself and that was really a good thing.”
