____ -Advertisement/Events Committee: This committee will simulate events executed in college communities and recreate them to fit the IMSA setting. Additionally, the committee will brainstorm all activities hosted by PME and be in charge of their execution. It will also be responsible for taking or obtaining pictures from ALL PME events throughout the year. The advertisement/events committee will also be responsible for writing a report of the successes, failures, and steps for improvement after every PME event to add to our archives. The committee will also be responsible for publicizing PME events to the student body. This mainly consists of putting up posters, sending out emails, and creating and implementing other innovative ways that will get the word out about what PME is doing. Upon completion of all forms of advertisement will be first reviewed by the delegates of this committee (Nisa Faheem, Claire Song Lee, Nick Kiene) before being passed to the rest of the PME executive board and later to Student Life offices.

____ -Dr. Martin Luther King Scholars: A more specific part of the advertisement/events committee are the MLK Scholars. This subsect is specially in charge of creating a 45 minute event for MLK day. The members will conduct research for MLK day and compile together a presentation that includes, but is not limited to, speakers, marches, singing, and powerpoints. Along with MLK day we provide events throughout the school year that are focused around Dr. Kings ideals and values. One of our new, pilot ideas is to invite local high school students to IMSA for a workshop on leadership and igniting social change in their communities. All events, promotions, and ideas are overseen by the delegates Amber Acquaye and Gissel Salas.

____ -Communications/Finance Committee: This committee will work to make sure that PME’s affairs are in order before events. What this will generally consist of working with IMSA clubs, StudCo, Sodexo, Student Life, and Residential Life to make sure that events run smoothly. This committee will also work to improve relations with other organizations for continually strengthening collaborations. In addition to communications this group will deal with keeping tabs on finances between PME and other clubs. Finally, this committee will be in charge of collecting monthly reports from culture clubs . All communication and financial operations of this committee will be overseen by Irina Wirjan and Rodrigo Sanchez.

____ -Research & Residential Halls Committee: This committee will focus on researching aspects of diversity through multiculturalism surveys, presentations, and videos that would be beneficial to share with the IMSA campus. All prospective research events must first be elaborated in a detailed proposal and a mini-presentation should be made to the Executive Board and the advisors before any larger presentations can be done. Likewise, all sample surveys must be approved by the PME Executive Board and advisors before being sent out to the IMSA campus. If and when surveys and focus groups are completed a formal report of all relevant or interesting findings must be produced and sent to the PME Executive Board, Advisors, and Adrienne Coleman. Along with research, this committee will focus on creating social but educational hall events in collaboration with residential student leaders and counselors. This committee will be overseen by Raven Jackson and Geronimo Garcia.
