Course-Visual Arts 1

Grades 9-12

Prerequiste none

Introductory course where students will explore different mediums by study artist and their styles through history.

Weekly Grades: Sketchbook assignments –Homework and artist Bio Projects in class, notes, handouts, participation.

Fee’s are $15 to cover bulk supplies in class(paint, glue, scissors,paper,etc.)

Mandatory supplies you will need to purchase and keep in your personal art box in class:

Drawing Pencils set (HB-6B) Kneaded eraser Blending stick Prismacolor Scholar color pencils (8 set or higher) Extra Fine point pen(black) Regular Black Sharpie Small pack of brushes for acrylic painting Ruler Roll of masking tape 1 pack of copy paper

These items can be purchased at Walmart, Art Creations(ask for student discount), Hobby Lobby or Michaels Crafts (coupons online for 40% off one item)

“Mona Bucks” will be given to those who have all their supplies with in the first full week and syllabus signed.
