Recommendations may not be done if funds aren’t available.

Community and City need to work together to make Pflugerville a community that we will all be proud of. Need to find an adequate method to notify residents of happening in the community e.g. rezoning. Construct a neighborhood atlas/directory. Take advantage of toolbox resources and make good use of the City’s website. The cities of Frisco and Plano were mentioned as sources for city websites. Pflugerville’s Growth: POPULATION 1970: 0.34 sq. mi. 549 1980: 0.95 745 1990: 2.50 4444 2000: 11.33 16,335 2008: 21.14 41,817

Issues to be considered: •How will we transition from an agricultural landscape to a suburban landscape- proper planning is so important.

•How to create and maintain a housing variety in our community.

•Maintaining housing codes to ensure that neighborhoods will maintain acceptable appearances for years to come and will not become eyesores.

Pflugerville is no longer an isolated community. The toll roads and more roads being built that provide more open access to our community. This continues to decrease our isolation.

City manager, David Buesing , also made comments and answered questions during this presentation. He mentioned that the building standards have been upgraded so that quality buildings are built and Pflugerville will be a place that people will want to live.

Parking ordinance committee meeting is scheduled for June 17th beginning at 6:45pm at 100 East Main- Suite 500.

Chief Hooker- Commented about the 4th of July Celebration scheduled to be held at the Lake. The fireworks will go off whether rain or shine. In case of rain; the fireworks will go off at an alternate site near Hendrickson High School. There is ZERO tolerance for fireworks in Pflugerville. Not obeying the tolerance can lead to a fine of $325. Also Kid Fish took place on June 7th at Lake Pflugerville and was lots of fun.
