 This document explores the techniques for changing the positions and facings of products in the section.

Changing the Number of Facings of a Position

Steps Result/Comment 1. Press the "F" key on the keyboard to modify the number of facings of a selected position 2. Enter the number of desired facings, then click on OK or press ENTER

 Note: For an even faster way of adding and deleting facings, try use the right and left arrow keys while holding the SHIFT key.

Moving a Position

 Positions may be moved around a planogram by simply dragging them with the right mouse button.

 Note: The items on a shelf will be moved right to accommodate any items being moved between existing items. The crunch mode causes items to do this, while still making sure everything stays left aligned on the shelf.

Deleting a Position

 An item is deleted by simply selecting it and pressing the DELETE key.

 When a position is deleted, it is actually moved to the Shopping Cart worksheet. An item in the shopping cart worksheet may be brought back into the planogram at any time.

Steps Result/Comment 1. Open the Shopping Cart worksheet to begin the process of undeleting an item 2. Right click on a item and drag it back to the desired position on the planogram

Notes:

 When an item is placed back onto the planogram the Shopping Cart worksheet automatically closes if it is empty. If other items are present in the worksheet, you will have to close or minimize it yourself.  The items on a shelf will be moved right to accommodate any items being moved between existing items. The crunch mode causes items to do this, while still making sure everything stays left aligned on the shelf.

Copying a Product Position

 Items may be copied from one location to another in a planogram. This can create a "vertical ribbon" effect of product. Another use of copying a position is to copy a position from one planogram to another.

Notes:

 In Apollo 8.1.2, both the CTRL key and the right mouse button are required to perform this operation.  A group of adjacent items may be copied by clicking on the first item, holding the SHIFT key and selecting the last item. The group of items may then be copied by holding the CTRL key and dragging with the right mouse button.  A group of non-adjacent items may be copied by clicking on the first item, holding the CTRL key and selecting additional items. The selected items may then be copied by dragging them with the CTRL key and right mouse button.
