Meeting Minutes 9/19/15

 Call to order: 9:00

 Roll Call and introduction of guests:

 Presentation of Minutes: read minutes from March meeting (accepted as posted)

 Presentation of Treasurer’s Report:

o $9200- Qualifiers savings acct

. $1150 for club prize money from qualifiers

. $8050 dedicated for 2016 Divisional/National expenses

o $4713.27 – General account

 Presidents message Very positive season, thanks to all volunteers and sponsors

 Conservation Director

 Open Position, Needs to be filled

Puyallup Hawg Hunters donated time and materials for holding tanks. Charity Howe discussed the project

Spokane Valley Marine donated an Evinrude 88SPL outboard to the barge.

Barge also received new floor paint, new generator, new latches, new seat, getting a quote for possible wrap

Discussed the Land and Water Conservation Fund which is about to expire. Urged clubs to contact Congressmen to push for reauthorization.

 Old Business:

o Scholarship funds – where we are at: . We wrote a letter to the bank, and have been able to make a little headway.

 On September 30, 2010 the account was closed - $10,086.47

 Currently have a request in at BOA for archive files to track the funds

 There was discussion about the proposal to have a different qualifier format

 This proposal was tabled after some debate, no current support for the format

o 1 West Side tournament

o 1 East Side tournament

o 1 Championship tournament with the top 20 qualifiers from each tournament.

o Championship body of water will not be announced until 2 months prior to the event. Motion made to lower the expense to $200 for one tournament, championship tournament is free. As long as the Title Sponsor program covers the reduction in entry fees.

Sponsorship Committee no action to report

 Youth Update:

o Dave Bruggman- Jr tournaments recap

. WSBF will cover travel for H.S. Champions to Divisional

. 2016 1 Jr Championship and possibly 3 H.S. date to be determined

. Was good to have the support of State Team members at the events as part of their contract

. Also discussed the changes / differences in TBF and BASS JR programs

 Tournament Report:

o Tournament Director position is now filled, Charity Howe volunteered for position

o 2015 Qualifier recap overall positive feedback on the season and the addition of the reader board and new software

o Upcoming Schedule

. October 3rd & 4th – WSBF Open Banks Lake

. WSBF Yearend Meetings and Banquet – November 13th & 14th

 May 28-30 WSBF Jamboree Banks Lake

 September 17 WSBF Meeting

 October 1 & 2 WSBF Open Banks Lake

 November 11 & 12 TBD

Some discussion on the Qualifiers being all in central WA. Dates will not change, one lake may change based on requested feedback from the clubs

 New Business:

o Gary Morris Elected to TBF Board of Directors

o Brief overview of TBF Divisional changes. Very exciting new format, details still to come

o Bylaw review, Feedback? Clubs asked to review WSBF Bylaws for possible future revisions

o Meeting change suggestion. Discussion of doing away with Ellensburg location, use of internet or?

o Nomination of Officers for 2016-2017 Nominations for all current Officers to remain. Nomination will re-open at the November meeting, with election to follow

 Open Forum: Discussion of possibility of having State Team members represent WSBF at trade shows. Board will review options available
