[3724-2] 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 A BILL 10 11 TO AMEND SECTION 77465, AS AMENDED, CODE OF 12 LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE 13 DESIGNATION OF PRECINCTS IN RICHLAND COUNTY, SO 14 AS TO REDESIGNATE CERTAIN PRECINCTS, TO 15 DESIGNATE A MAP NUMBER ON WHICH THE NAMES OF 16 THESE PRECINCTS MAY BE FOUND AND MAINTAINED 17 BY THE OFFICE OF RESEARCH AND STATISTICS OF THE 18 STATE BUDGET AND CONTROL BOARD, AND TO 19 CORRECT ARCHAIC LANGUAGE. 20 21 Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South 22 Carolina: 23 24 SECTION 1. Section 77465 of the 1976 Code, as last amended by 25 Act 24 of 2007, is further amended to read: 26 27 “Section 77465. [3724] 6 1 P7907 P7913A and as shown on copies of the official map 2 provided to the Richland County Board of Voter Registration by 3 the Division Office of Research and Statistics. 4 (C) The polling places for the precincts provided in this section 5 must be established by the Richland County Election Commission 6 Board of Elections and Voter Registration of Richland County 7 subject to the approval of the majority of the Richland County 8 Legislative Delegation.” 9 10 SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the 11 Governor. 12 XX 13
