Project submission Form –NSSF Torch Awards 2017

Prospective participants in the Torch Awards 2017 are required to read the following guidelines carefully before completing the submission form. The deadline for submitting all entries is April 21, 2017 at 5:00 PM.

Background NSSF is pleased to announce the 2017 Torch Awards, an initiative through which the Fund recognizes and supports projects implemented by community based organisations or individuals that are touching lives and transforming communities.

If you or your organization is working to make a difference in the community, you could be among the winners of the Torch Awards 2017. Up to Ushs 80 million will be awarded to the winners from all regions in the country.

For a project to qualify, it should fall in any of the following categories: 1. Education 2. Health 3. Youth 4. Disadvantaged

For your project to be eligible, it should fulfill the following criteria i. Should be not for profit ii. Should benefit the wider community iii. Should not be funded by government, international or local charities and Non-Governmental Organisations iv. Should be run by Ugandan institutions or individuals v. Should be non-partisan

Completed forms and any other information about the proposed project should be submitted via e-mail to [email protected] not later than April 21, 2017.

Please note that;  Proposals should focus on future projects, or extension of existing projects. However, field verification will centre on what the organization has done and how it is impacting the community.  Only proposals submitted via e-mail will be accepted, and the submission form should be completed in order to be eligible for consideration.  The panel of Judges reserves the right to seek further information concerning the projects submitted.  The decisions of the panel of judges will be final and will not be subject to any appeal.
