Standard V: Productivity and Professional Practice My school district is changing / updating their web based gradebook program. The high school, where I teach, is also loosing their full time tech support person. This gradebook change, combined with the tech support loss, will cause a great deal of stress among faculty once school begins again in the Fall. I have made arrangements with district tech support to become proficient at the new system and offer my services to teachers who wish to learn it before Fall and to be available for others this Fall and throughout the year.

I will also explore and evaluate potential online resources for teachers.

Since I was one of the teachers given and electronic chalkboard this last year, I will also instruct teachers in the use of the electronic chalkboards and projectors that are being installed throughout the high school this summer. I already have teachers asking me to help them this summer with this technology.

Standard III. Teaching, Learning, and the Curriculum Our summer school credit recovery program is web based. Students meet in the computer lab and are self-paced through the program. As part of my implementation of Standard III, I will assist students with technical as well as academic issues so that their experience and learning is maximized.

• Outline of work expectations leading the Intern to achievement of the learner objectives

A. I expect to spend several hours studying the features and procedures for the new gradebook program. B. I expect to notify teachers of my availability this summer and throughout the year for our gradebook implementation and support. C. I expect to instruct teachers in the effective uses of the electronic chalkboard throughout and beyond the internship. D. I expect to support and instruct students in the credit recovery summer program throughout June. E. I expect to explore online resources for my colleagues. VIII. Explanation of Internship

• Explanation/summary of the entire internship: What will you be working on? Who will you be working with? What output do you anticipate? A. I will be working on PowerTeacher gradebook system. B. I will be supporting students in PLATO credit recovery lab C. I will be researching online resources for teachers. D. I will be instructing in electronic chalkboard implementation ------Summary: I will be acting as tech support personnel as well as classroom instructor.

This must be delivered to the SISLT Internship Coordinator for evaluation. Portfolio The internship experiences are added to the student’s final portfolio. Assignment of Course Grade The Mentor will complete a report at the end of the internship period in which the performance of the Intern will be evaluated. An Intern must receive a “Satisfactory” on the report to receive credit for Q480/9480.
