H.O. Brumsted Elementary School Gr. 5/6 Band and ChoruseS Winter Concert Update Sheet Winter Concert—Tuesday, December 13 th Snow Date—Tuesday, December 20th

 Report Times: Grade 5/6 Choruses (including Select Chorus) should report to the HS Auditorium at 6:30 p.m.  Grade 5/6 Band should report to the HS Band Room at 6:30 p.m. ****Students who are in both Band and Chorus should report to Chorus first for attendance, then go to Band to set up instruments and warm-up.

***Please keep the Snow Date clear on your calendar. If we have a snow day on the 13 th , then the re-scheduled concert on the 20th will still be mandatory. This is the equivalent of an exam for the students, so participation is vital!

 THE FULL CONCERT (ALL GROUPS) WILL BEGIN AT 7:00 p.m. This will have us finishing at about 7:40, so that the students and their families can return home at a reasonable hour.

 Does your child still have their concert outfit ready? Most local stores (including Wal-Mart and Target, as well as larger department stores) are currently carrying concert clothing items. Please check in case your child has grown since the last concert! As a reminder, the concert dress requirements for Band and Chorus are as follows:

Boys: White Music Department t-shirt (see attached sheet), black slacks or DARK black jeans, black socks, black dress shoes or black sneakers. Girls: White Music Department t-shirt, black skirt (knee-length or lower) or black slacks, natural-colored stockings or black socks (with pants), black dress shoes. Please keep any jewelry or hair ornaments as conservative as possible. Avoid very high heels or “clog”- type shoes to prevent injury on the risers or stage.
