Our CoDA Texas State Assembly is November 4-6, 2016 at the La Quinta Inn & Suites at 2552 SSE Loop 323 in Tyler, TX 75701. This meeting is very crucial to CoDA Texas because this is where the Texas officers give the various Reports, the Delegates report on their experience at CSC and we discuss old/new business and elect new Officers. We need to elect a new Chairman, Secretary and a new Jr. Delegate. Anyone is welcome to attend and there will be plenty of good workshops and speakers on Saturday afternoon and evening. A Registration Flyer is attached. The Schedule will be in the September Newsletter.

Page 1 CoDA Texas Retreat News The CoDA Texas Retreat in March at Camp Lone Star in LaGrange was a big success and we had a record number of attendees (72). Thanks so much to Mary and Ken R. for their wonderful workshops and being our featured speakers. A special thanks to the Retreat Committee from Houston who made it the best retreat ever! A decision was made and passed at the Spring Board Meeting to set aside $500 for Retreat Scholarships to be allocated over the next couple of years. We need volunteers to be on the Retreat Committee for next year! Email the Newsletter Editor if interested at [email protected]

Linda B. added: What a blast was had by all at the 2015 Retreat. Ken and Mary the Founders of Coda had us all on the edge of our seats in their workshops. We got to learn a South African Greeting that got us up close and personal real quick. Dancing to Hip Hop songs before every workshop got our blood and hearts pumping! The food, fun, canoe rides (we had to rescue our on Stephy out of the lake), seeing the Blue Bonnets, walking the trails, enjoying the yummy healthy food, especially the desserts, singing by the campfire eating s’mores and hotdogs under the stars, cooking s’mores inside in the fire place, talking to our friends Ken and Mary, connecting with old friends from prior Retreats, doing the awesome arts and crafts creations, decorating our mailboxes, meeting new friends from all over Texas and CA, having breakfast lunch and dinner with the most amaZing folks, sleeping. Yes. We had a blast! The 13 folks that headed up the Retreat Committee Rocked IT! Texas 7th Tradition Donations According to the 12 Traditions, CoDA is self-supporting through its own contributions.
