Purchase of Flowers.

Flowers and a card expressing sympathy were purchased by the Secretary. It was moved F.Battam and seconded D.Keyssecker that reimbursement for this purchase be approved. Carried.

Nationals Website.

This matter was discussed at the last meeting and further to this it was decided against keeping the URL. It was proposed that when it becomes a Word Press site, more photos could be added. The CLAS site has remained the same at this juncture but its future direction will need to be ascertained. Bob Armstrong has agreed to contact Ross in regard to this site.

Ken Dowell’s Website.

Brian had endeavoured to track down this website, but has managed to find the list of F2B places at Nationals up to 2009. It was suggested that this list should be kept up to date and included on our Nationals website. This was supported by the meeting.

MAAA Annual Conference.

President, Bruce Hoffmann raised the matter of the election of Executives and following discussions, decisions were made in regard to the CLAS vote.

The agenda has been read through and no contentious issues were identified. It was agreed that if the MAAA fee structure remains the same, then there would be no change to the CLAS fees.

State Championships.

Brian has purchased 3 cases of wine for the aerobatics, combat and racing presentations. These will be given to the co-ordinators of the various disciplines for presentation to judges/ officials.

A Jury will be set up comprising of 3 members. However, the makeup of this jury panel is still to be determined.

The judging panels for Aerobatics were finalised for the co-ordinator, Don Keyssecker and decisions for other disciplines were left to the other two co-ordinators.

Judges for Classic Stunt will be Bruce Hoffmann and Paul Turner. Judges for Vintage Stunt will be Reg Towell and Bruce Hoffmann and Dennis Percival has kindly agreed to judge the Static in this event. Contd. Page 4.

GENERAL BUSINESS contd.

State Championships contd.

Judges for Expert Aerobatics will be Dave Simons and Joan McIntyre. Judges for Advanced Aerobatics and also Novice will be Brian Eather and Frank Battam.

Frank Battam has agreed to do the Risk Assessment.

In regard to catering, the ladies have once again kindly agreed to organise this and CLAS is most grateful for their continued assistance. Paul will bring the barbecue.

The actual availability of the oval will need to be confirmed, as work was to have been done by the Council on this facility and there is still some uncertainty in regard to the centre wicket areas and what will be placed around them. However, the Doonside members will have more idea of this as time progresses. Should Council not have in place their own structures, then we would once again organise the stakes and safety tape around the entire wicket area.

In regard to line marking paint, Paul has been authorised to purchase a box of 12 cans and Brian mentioned that he has 4 remaining also.

The flags and orange safety vests are with the Secretary and she will pass these on to Don.

Entries close Friday 31st May, 2013. An email reminding members of this will be sent out.

CLAS has received approval from SSME to hold events at Luddenham on the Monday.

Hon. Secretary to contact Don Milides in regard to keys and access to the facilities.

Badges from Nationals.

Paul advised the meeting that 76 badges were left over from the nationals. David Axon from Victoria has agreed to purchase these from CLAS.

Letter from Peter Koch.

An investigation has been conducted and a number of persons spoken to in relation to the letter received by CLAS from Mr Peter Koch and circulated in the April 2013 minutes. Due to a lack of supporting evidence or information available regarding Mr Koch’s allegations, CLAS is unable at this time to take any further action in this matter.

Meeting closed 10.25 p.m.
