Middle School Algebra Common Core Appendix Information

K12 has revised Middle School Algebra to align the course with Common Core State Standards (CCSS). To do this, we added new, Common Core-aligned activities to existing lessons. We also we created an appendix of new lessons and lessons from other Math+ courses that meet CCSS.

What you need to know about this course:  Original Middle School Algebra lessons with added activities will take longer to complete than they did before.  It is possible that students will have already seen content pulled from earlier Math courses, or they might see some content again in a later course.  Unit and Semester Reviews and Checkpoints have not been updated to include lessons from the Appendix or new activities. They cover lessons from the original Middle School Algebra course.

How to use the lesson list:  Use the lesson list to integrate the CCSS lessons in the Appendix into the Middle School Algebra course.  Check the What’s New? and What to Print? columns for additional information about what is new or revised and what new or revised documents need to be printed.  The units listed below may be in a different order in your math course if your school uses an alternate sequence of units. You may want to add the applicable unit numbers to the first column to make it easier for your individualized use.
