Methacton Girls Swimming: As of the middle of the season, the girl’s Swimming and Diving team has performed just about as expected. We start our Dual meet season swimming some of the best teams in District 1. We have an overall record of 3-4. We have a PAC-10 record of 2-0, with a huge meet with Owen J. Roberts on January 14th. This meet will determine the supremacy of the Girls PAC-10 swim teams. Some of our standout swimmers and divers so far this year are: Kirsten Groff in the freestyle events, Emily Sykes in the non-free style events and Jen Rees in the sprint freestyle events. For the Divers, Samantha Lavrich has led the team, along with the rest of the diving team contributing valuable points in every meet. The team has had excellent leadership with Becca Sykes, Brooke Dobbs, and Kristen Unangst at the helm. We are looking forward to the end of the year, when all of the hard work pays off.
