Scholarship
The Carroll County HBCU Alumni Association (CCHBCUAA) Scholarships are awarded annually to graduating seniors from a high school within Carroll County who will attend a Historically Black College or University (HBCU). Application deadline is March 31 st.
Eligibility Requirements:
Graduating senior from a high school located within Carroll County
Have a minimum 3.3 grade point average
Accepted and will attend a Historically Black College or University
Applicants must submit:
Completed application
Current school transcript
Three letters of recommendation (one must be from a school teacher/administrator and one must be from a member of the community)
A type-written essay of 500 words or less expressing their goals and aspirations and explaining the benefits of attending a HBCU and why they desire to attend.
The CCHBCUAA will award one to four scholarships annually, ranging from $300 to $500 based on number of recipients and available funds.
