Summary Profile:

Presently I am perusing Post Doctoral Fellowship from Tata Institute of Social Science (TISS), Mumbai. I have completed Ph.D from Dept. of Social Work, Gulbarga University, Karnataka, completed Masters in Population Studies (MPS) from International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS) Mumbai, in the year 2009 and done first Masters in Social Work (MSW) in the year 2004 from Shivaji University, Maharashtra. I have also qualified National Eligibility Test (NET) and State Level Eligibility Test for Assistant Professor in both the Mater’s.

I worked in teaching for 2 years before joining PDF. I also worked in National and International agencies in different positions in the area of population and development for more than 10 years, during these years I was involved in different research and implementation projects including Maternal, Neonatal and Child Health (MNCH), evaluation of HIV/AIDS prevention programme, large scale surveys like National Family Health Survey (NFHS-3), District Level Household Survey (DLHS-3) and Data Triangulation. Working in different positions, I developed good teaching and communication skills, quantitative & qualitative research skills, ability to deal with large scale database, competency in using sophisticated statistical software like SPSS, STATA, Mortpak, EpiData, Spectrum and Quantum GIS etc. I also acquired good verbal and written communication skills and good liaise and inter personal skills and ability to shoulder multiple responsibilities including co-ordination of teaching and research activities in multi-cultural environment. I am enough competent to understand and speak Kannada, Telugu, Hindi and English.
